Jeffrey Steinberg is a partner in Audit & Advisory at Crowe Soberman, as well as the co-leader of the firm’s Sports & Entertainment practice. His area of expertise is owner-managed businesses. He is knowledgeable, practical and results-oriented in the professional service he provides clients and his holistic approach to client needs is what separates him from others.
Prior to joining the firm, Jeffrey was a partner in a public accounting firm based in Toronto. His clientele includes established businesses with domestic and international operations as well as start-up companies. Jeffrey has expertise across a variety of industries, ranging from Sports & Entertainment to Manufacturing & Distribution. In addition, he leads the firm’s Franchise practice. Jeffrey’s clientele includes both Canadian and U.S. businesses, which frequently take him across the border where he assists in setting up their operations in new jurisdictions.
Jeffrey is frequently sought out for his opinions by The Globe & Mail, National Post and other media outlets. He advises a wide range of entertainment clients, predominantly in the music industry on everything from structuring their new business ventures to tax planning on an international scale. In addition, he speaks with athletes, coaches and agents on the topic of “Tax Considerations for Cross-Border Moves” between Canada and the U.S. Jeffrey has also written for a number of publications.
